Velká Polom

We perceive the place as a natural meeting place for citizens, a community space, a link between adjacent public buildings. The area has two levels divided by a granite block staircase. The upper level is in the original slope along the road and uses and restores the historic well. The lower level is horizontal, residential, noise shielded from traffic. The water element takes advantage of the fact that water can flow, spray, fall and create a surface. It uses the original well - with the rendering, the lid forming individual streams of pumped water and the placement of three types of pumps, it attracts not only children. The water then flows down the depressions carved into the staircase to the lower part of the village, where it meanders and creates a surface. The furniture consists of oak "movable" chairs and benches arranged and rotated in such a way as to encourage the sitters to interact with each other.
